Beware the terrible simplifiers

This is Bill Moyers, that pillar of old-school real American journalism, giving his perspective on the Rev. Wright controversy. I'm not sure how it's coming across in the US, but frankly no one here understands what all the fuss is about, which I think just proves the point that the real problem is people's perception of Wright's meaning, and perhaps his race, and not what he is actually saying.

We do get CNN here, but I tend to gravitate towards the BBC. The NZ news is frankly fairly provincial. I don't know if any news source is truly unbiased, but I can't stand the bullet-point grade-school breakdowns on CNN. And don't even get me started on Fox news - I'm still absolutely appalled that it is broadcast internationally. Thankfully so is the Daily Show, which restores some balance to the universe... and a little of my sanity.
